About Andre

Hi, I’m Andre Jacomet, a non-ordinary (more on that below) trauma therapist and potential-oriented coach. I have over 20 years of experience supporting clients from all over the world in (re-)claiming a regulated, resilient nervous system and consequently embodying and expressing more of who they really are.

I have developed a solid and highly attuned ability to hold space for whatever challenge comes up within a session, which often allows for considerable shifts in my client’s system and experiences.

As my own story led me through some harsh places, this lays the ground for the wide scope of situations, states and emotions that I am confident in accompanying my clients with. The light and the darkness within each of us, the despair, the joy, the rage, the fear… all have their space in our practice and in your growth.

People usually come to me with symptoms…

…such as panic attacks, a chaotic relationship or family situation, burnout, always putting others before oneself, or the effects of physical trauma – to name only a few, and many of those change or even disappear completely as we progress in our work together.

Yet what has revealed itself at the core, as I have worked through countless of these instances with clients, is:

I support you in becoming who you are.

It seems this is the inevitable side-effect of working with me – if you are willing and ready for it.

This is very different from the currently common approach that entices you to “get what you want”.

Throughout our therapy or coaching, I will not tell you what you want to hear. I will tell you what is true and relevant in each moment. It may make you uncomfortable sometimes, and it will make you grow. If this resonates with you, you are in excellent company with me.

I guide my clients to

  • more embodiment

  • sharper awareness

  • personal empowerment

  • genuine success

  • seeing beyond the matrix

My approach is

  • direct

  • sincere

  • challenging at times

  • also very resource-oriented

  • grounded

Over 20 years of experience with traumahealing:

I am a certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and have a diploma in Polarity Therapy (RPP).

Now, the words of one of my clients best describe what complements the certifications:

“Andre’s evaluation of who someone is and of where they are on their path, and his ability to meet them right there, are extremely fine-tuned.”

(Thank you, Naomi!)

My Story

My path is one of rising from the ashes and the beauty in it is that the complexity of what I experienced makes up the scope of the work I am able to do today. After surviving adverse prenatal conditions, I grew up in an environment of disorientation, mostly alone and suffering from early neglection. I developed some manifestations of ADHD and started psychotherapy at 13, which helped me make it through school and get a degree. At the same time, I founded my own business importing computers and was self-employed at 18.

Drugs and addiction became an important topic in the following years. In parallel, I learnt many things through my connection with my uncle, who was part of the Swiss secret service and a dazzling figure. I saw behind curtains that very few people do and witnessed situations most of us only see in movies. At the time, this contributed to my destabilisation, but it also strengthened me into forming my very own opinion and keeping a backbone in challenging environments.

I was gifted a new life when I recovered from my addiction in 2000 and when, two years later, I got into contact with the trauma healing work by Peter Levine. At the time I was a business consultant, training people and companies on awareness and security topics. I have always had a very clear compass within me and when I sat in the introduction training for Somatic Experiencing, I was clear that everything I went through had needed to happen exactly the way it did, for me to be there in that moment. This is how I embarked on this completely new path of trauma therapy, gradually building up my practice, assisting Peter Levine during his seminars in Switzerland, completing the Polarity Training, giving seminars on my own.

Within all the madness, unconsciousness and darkness I grew up in and witnessed also in later years, there was always this spark of truth slumbering in the depth of me. All of the above sharpened my deep inner knowing of what is actually true, what is valuable, what is honorable, what is of dignity. It is the inner pull towards the light, the goodness, the divine, that kept me on my course and motivated my ongoing quest, to this day and onwards.
